The two boards

The game runs on two different grids, and almost every question about it resolves to which one you are looking at.

Base board (4x3). Four reels, three rows, one to three selectable lines, and a BONUS UP strip sitting padlocked above the reels. The five jackpot values are displayed across the top throughout, so the ladder is visible before you ever trigger anything.

Bonus board (4x6). Twenty-four cells. The bottom three rows are active immediately; the top three start sealed and open as the round unlocks them. A vertical GRAND marker runs down each flank of the lower block, and a counter beside the reels reads progress towards the full board as x/24.

REEL UP / Super REEL UPUP rowUnlocks blocked cells on one reel, or on all four

MULTI UP / Super MULTI UPUP rowApplies a multiplier to coin values
COIN UP / Super COIN UPUP rowRaises the cash values already on the board
Extra LifeBonusRestores a respin to a round that has run out

The four UP modifiers come in ordinary and SUPER forms. The ordinary version acts on the single reel it lands above; the SUPER version applies the same effect across all four reels at once. That is the whole distinction, and it is the one worth watching during a round.

The jackpot ladder

Mini 10x, Minor 20x, Major 50x, Grand 500x, Royal 1,000x, five fixed tiers, all quoted against the line bet rather than the total spin. The three lower tiers arrive as tagged coins during the bonus. The two upper tiers are structural:

  • Grand 500x: awarded for covering the bottom three rows of the bonus board.
  • Royal 1,000x: awarded for unlocking and filling all twenty-four cells. A full board covers the lower three rows as well, so the Royal settles together with the Grand: 1,500x the line bet in one payout.

Design notes

The presentation is unusually plain for a modern Hold and Win, and that is a deliberate ergonomic choice rather than an economy. A purple base-game field switches to saturated lava red the moment the bonus starts, which makes the state of the round readable at a glance. Coin denominations are printed large on the faces, multipliers sit in small tags at the coin’s upper right, and the jackpot ladder stays fixed at the top of the screen throughout.

The one element that repays attention is the UP row. In base play it is a locked ribbon reading BONUS UP behind four padlocks; in the bonus it becomes the busiest part of the screen, and the difference between a MULTI UP and a Super MULTI UP tile is a small colour shift on a small tile.

Where the numbers come from

3 Oaks publishes the mechanics and leaves the numeric profile, return, volatility, maximum win, stake range, to the certified build each casino installs. Open the info panel in your own lobby and read the figures there; that build is the one governing your session. The RTP page shows how to turn whatever number you find into a cost per thousand spins.

Round mechanics in sequence are on how the game works , stake sizing on the play guide , and the free demo puts the whole symbol set in front of you at no cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the game's headline specifications?
A 4x3 base grid that extends in the bonus, 1 to 3 selectable lines, five fixed jackpots topped by Royal 1,000x, an eight-symbol UP modifier set and a three-tier Bonus Shop. Released 6 August 2026 by 3 Oaks Gaming.
How many cells does the bonus board hold?
Twenty-four, a 4x6 grid. The bottom three rows are live from the start of the round and the top three open as REEL UP and Super REEL UP symbols unlock them. The counter beside the reels tracks progress towards a full board as x/24.
Which symbols carry the jackpots?
Tagged bonus coins carry the fixed Mini 10x, Minor 20x and Major 50x values, and Mystery Jackpot symbols reveal one of them when they resolve. Grand 500x and Royal 1,000x are board-completion prizes rather than symbols, three rows covered, or all twenty-four cells filled.
Does the base game have free spins?
No, like the rest of the volcano family the value routes through the Hold and Win round rather than a free-spins feature. What extends a round instead is the respin counter, which resets to three whenever a new symbol lands, plus the Extra Life modifier.
